Dear Parish Family,

The Church gives us fifty days of Easter - longer than Lent itself - because the Resurrection is too large a mystery to fit inside a single Sunday. The disciples needed time. The women at the tomb, the travelers to Emmaus, Thomas in the upper room: each of them came to belief at a different pace, and the Lord met every one of them where they were.

I would like to invite you, this Easter season, to do three small things with the rest of us:

  1. Pray a single Easter prayer each morning. Even just the words "Christ is risen" before your feet hit the floor. It costs nothing and reorders everything.
  2. Come to one weekday Mass. The Easter readings during these weeks walk us through the Acts of the Apostles — the story of the very first parish, finding its feet.
  3. Welcome someone. A new face in the pew, a neighbor who has drifted, a family member who has been away. Easter is a season of open tombs and open doors.

Thank you for the privilege of walking this season with you.

Yours in the Risen Lord,
Fr. Louis
