The Seven Sacraments
Outward signs instituted by Christ to give grace — the foundation of our Christian life and the rhythm of every Catholic soul.
Welcomed Into the Church
These sacraments lay the foundations of every Christian life.
Baptism
The gateway to life in the Spirit, washing away original sin and welcoming us into the family of the Church.
Holy Eucharist
The source and summit of our faith. We believe Christ is truly present — body, blood, soul, and divinity — in the consecrated bread and wine.
Confirmation
Enriches the baptized with the strength of the Holy Spirit so they can better witness to Christ in word and deed.
Mercy and Restoration
Christ's healing reaches us in moments of brokenness — in soul and in body.
Reconciliation
Also known as Confession. Through the priest, Christ restores our friendship with God and the Church through forgiveness.
Anointing of the Sick
Strengthens the faithful who are afflicted by illness, surgery, or advanced age — granting peace, courage, and spiritual healing.
A Vocation of Love
Two sacraments directed toward the salvation of others — building up the People of God.
Matrimony
God gives the grace to love with the same love with which Christ loves His Church. Marriage signifies the union of Christ and the Church.
Holy Orders
The sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to His apostles continues in the Church — in three degrees: bishop, priest, and deacon.
